• The Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Foundation (RBWH Foundation) runs a series of raffles each year to help raise money for research into areas such as premature babies, burns and stroke. These raffles, held within Queenslands largest hospital, are important in raising vital funds for this research.

• Tiredness and fatigue in the postnatal period is such a common experience for most women and when mothers of new babies experience extreme tiredness or fatigue, it follows that other aspects of their lives can be affected.
  Research is being conducted by Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and the Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety -Queensland (CARRS-Q) to look at tiredness and fatigue in those who have new babies.

• I'm writing on behalf of the Department of Human Services in Victoria. We have recently launched an egg safety campaign which raises awareness about the risks raw and undercooked eggs pose for vulnerable sections of the community, including young children. I note that you list egg whites as a food to avoid for reasons of allergy. Another angle i thought you might be interested in is the tendency for parents to let their children lick the beater or a spoon from a cake mix (which often contain raw egg). Many parents would do this yet not believe that they ever feed their child raw egg.
