Food Ideas for baby aged 6-7 months

  • Iron fortified rice cereal mixed with breast milk, formula or cooled boiled water.
  • Vegetables (pureed) such as potato, pumpkin, sweet potato,carrot, broccoli, peas, zuchini.
  • Stewed apples, peaches, pears, apricots (no extra sugar).
  • Mashed soft avocado.

Food Ideas for baby aged 8-10 months

Apart from giving your baby at least 500-600 ml of breast/formula milk everyday you can try below mentioned food ideas.
  • Mashed potato and broccoli with cheese
  • cootage cheese with fruit
  • Sliced soft fruit( bannana,kiwi or mango)
  • small sandwiches with a smear of cream cheese or avocado
  • caulifower with cheese
  • carefully deboned white fish
  • Mashed beans or lentils
  • oats porridge
  • cooked white or brown rice

Food Ideas for baby aged 10-12 months

Your baby can now have chopped or half mashed form of food.
  • Chopped cooked vegetables and fruits.
  • steamed florets of broccolli as finger food
  • Sliced soft fruit( bannana,kiwi or mango)
  • well cooked pasta with minced chicken and a tomato sauce
  • steamed chopped spinach and cootage cheese
  • a slice of fruit bread
  • sandwiches with mashed tuna
  • cooked rice with peas and carrot.
  • Thick lentil soup.
