You will be amazed to know how your baby develops in every passing week of the pregnancy. Learn about the changes taking place in mother's body and the growing baby.

At this stage, your blood volume has increased by two litres, consequently heart has to work harder. You may feel shortness of breath as diaphragm is being pushed by growing uterus, thus reducing lungs capacity.The best way to deal with the discomforts of late pregnancy are to maintain proper nutrition, drink plenty of fluids, practice good posture, and rest whenever you can.

By the end of week 29, Your baby measures 35 cm and weighs from 1.4-1.6 Kg. Your baby's bone marrow is now developing red blood cells.The movements of your baby will become smaller but more stronger. Your babys skin will become more and more smoother as fat is being deposited under the skin.

Week30

 
 
Your fundal height has reached approximately 3-4 inches above your navel. You would be noticing a vast change now in your pregnancy week by week as your baby will be growing bigger and bigger quite quickly now. During this month, your baby will actively absorb and store nutrients .Calcium for skeletal development; iron for blood cells and protein for it's growth. Your baby now measures 36-38cm. At this point, your baby may be practicing nursing as he sucks his thumb. Also, he has a grip so strong it is capable of gripping onto your finger. The brain growth is taking place at a rapid rate to meet the challenges of a normal life.

Week31

 
 

You will find yourself with lots of aches and pains from the pressure and the decreased amount of room in your abdomen. Most frequently experienced are pelvic and back pain. Try to get into pelvic floor exercises routine at this stage.

Your baby now measures 38 cm and weighs about 2Kg. Should your baby be born to today, he/she would be able to breath, see, listen, remember and learn.Your baby's growth weight may begin to slow down a little now, but although it is slowing down the internal organs will continue to grow and develop.

Week32

 
 

You are feeling pretty heavy now.You may begin to experience back pain now. Back pain is generally caused by weak stomach muscles, as this will force you to push your shoulders back in order to support your growing uterus.

Your baby now measures 40 cm and weighs about 2.2 Kg. your baby will be able to register information from all 5 senses.The bones of head remain soft and flexible. Lungs have developed to the extent taht they can support life outside womb.
